Thames Underwriting was launched by two experienced underwriting specialists keen to offer brokers all the advantages of a personalised service backed by the speed and efficiency of online trading.

We're different because we place so much importance on developing long-term relationships with our broker partners, discussing all types of risks with you and providing in-house underwriting expertise that delivers immediate decisions.

Our flexible approach means we consider most trades and offer annual premiums starting at £500 plus IPT.

While specialising in Contractors Liability insurance, we also offer a broader range of products, including Professional Indemnity - Design & Construct & Miscellaneous, Contractors All Risks, Commercial Combined, Property Owners, Unoccupied Property Owners and Group Personal Accident.

We also operate in the Leisure Sector using Quote and Buy technology that delivers point of sale documentation extending our appeal to a broad range of brokers.

Our combined liability and excess liability products are available online through our e-broking trading platform via the Let's trade link.

Simple and efficient to use, you can readily view quotations, policies, claims and payments, together with the facility to download documents for point of sale certification and policy documentation.

Over the next 12 months we plan to deliver all our products via this online system.

Meet the Underwriting team

Keith Syrett ACII and Philip Thomas ACII - in 1995 they formed their own underwriting agency offering bespoke commercial contracts for the printing and construction industries. Thames Underwriting continues their highly successful relationship, utilising their proven and widespread Underwriting knowledge.

Max Thomas - a highly respected and enthusiastic new business Underwriter who has many years experience in the construction liability and contractors markets.

Craig Miller Cert CII - a keen individual experienced in commercial property and liability insurance.

Neil Wilson - 15 years experience in commercial and contractors insurance.

Chris Sharp - 12 years experience in commercial and residential property.

Adrian Johnson ACII - Over 25 years in the Industry with a long background in Schemes and Specialist Insurance Products in both Personal and Commercial Lines.
